Surfboard Sign at Coconut Willy's Waikiki

I got an old surfboard and painted it to look like old distressed wood that had been laying around on a deserted island for years. I then cut out the lettering from 3/4 inch plywood, shaped and painted it to look like bamboo, attached it to the board and then had it mounted to the wall.

The Tiki Lounge at Coconut Willy's Waikiki

I've been working on the Tiki Lounge at Coconut Willy's Waikiki for the last six weeks and am nearing completion of the main artwork display. This will actually it will be a continuing work in progress since there is so much room to display my hand painted Tiki surfboards and my new Wall Sculptures that I am working on. For any info, you can go to my website www.treysurtees.com or come see me at my gallery TreyStudios located at the Diamond Head Tower of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. This is where I produce all of my artwork on a daily basis. I am there from 12 noon til 10pm daily except Sundays. Feel free to stop by anytime. If you are on the North Shore, be sure to stop by Thomadro Galleries at the Haleiwa Town Center and the North Shore Marketplace to see more of my Crazy Tiki and Tribal Art.

These are the characters for the Tiki Band before I cut them out and mounted them on the wall.

These characters and of the Tiki Band painting were painted on masonite and then the shapes cut out and mounted about two inches from the wall to give them a 3D look.
